Overview

Al Faleh Educational Holding is a leading international group that provides highly reputable products and services within the education and higher education sector in Qatar. The Holding encompasses three schools, including Doha Academy and Doha International Kindergarten, all of which carry the hallmark of teaching excellence. In addition, the Holding includes a top-ranked university that is also the first UK University to operate on a dedicated campus in Qatar, AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.

Al Faleh Educational Holding was proudly founded and is led by H.E. Dr. Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani whose vision is to contribute to the education and development of Qatar’s future leaders in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

In April 2021, the Holding was listed on the Venture Market of the Qatar Stock Exchange which is a great achievement. Al Faleh is the first woman-led Qatari company to go public and it is also the first Qatari educational institution to list on the stock market, both major milestones reached under the stewardship of H.E. Dr. Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani.

Al Faleh Educational Holding proudly announces the successful completion of necessary procedures with the Qatar Stock Exchange, the Qatar Central Securities Depository, and other relevant authorities. These steps mark a significant milestone as the Holding prepares to transfer its listing to the main market of the Qatar Stock Exchange. The first trading day for Al Faleh Educational Holding’s shares on the Main Market will be on Sunday, January 28, 2024.

Child Protection & Safeguarding

Al Faleh Educational Holding is committed to the promotion and protection of every child’s right to education, consistent with Qatar’s 2030 National Vision and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

As a provider of KG – 12 education, Al Faleh Educational Holding recognises and prioritises child protection and safeguarding practice in line with the international standards articulated by “The International Task Force on Child Protection”.

The Doha Academy group of schools is a member of the Education Collaborative for International Schools (ECIS), which helps provide annual child protection and safeguarding training for staff and members of the Board of Directors. Each of its schools has a Designated Safeguarding Lead, as does Al Faleh Educational Holding’s Senior Executive Management.

Doha Academy’s international accreditation partner the New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NEASC), commended in November 2022:

“Of note, the school’s comprehensive Child Protection and Safeguarding policies are compliant with the British governmental statutory guidelines contained in the Keeping Children Safe in Education framework.

“Staff are trained annually in Safeguarding and Child Protection, and all new staff receive training during their two-week orientation and onboarding. Rigorous background checks are completed on each new employee, often including a police report from the country of last residence for international staff. This includes all contracted staff, who are background-checked by their respective employers.”
