AFG College with the University of Aberdeen hosted the fourth Admissions Open Event at the College campus on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the presence of the Chief Executive Officer, H.E. Dr. Sheikha Aisha Bint Faleh Al Thani, along with the University teaching faculty, senior members of the University of Aberdeen and prospective students and their family members.
H.E. Dr Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani warmly welcomed prospective students and their families commenting, “At AFG College with the University of Aberdeen we promise our students a high standard of university education and a platform for a strong future career in business and commerce. Aberdeen University ranks in the top 1% worldwide, we provide a more accessible option for individuals who are seeking a UK university education within the State of Qatar. It is important to note, that students at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen are registered students of Aberdeen and have access to the same teaching and learning resources and lecturing staff at the University’s main campus in the UK.
Principal Brian Buckley commented, We are happy to welcome these students and their parents on our Open Day, where they can meet with our academic teaching staff, inquire about the degree courses available and familiarise themselves with the learning resources which are offered here at the College.
AFG College with the University of Aberdeen is a newly established university partnership offering undergraduate degrees specialising in, Business Management and Accountancy & Finance. Qualified candidates can enter year three of their chosen degrees with evidence of previous study such as the Higher Diploma from the College of North Atlantic Qatar (CNAQ) and relevant qualifications from Community College Qatar (CCQ).
Tuesday September 12 marks the induction day for our year 1 students, whilst Wednesday September 13 marks the induction day for year 3 students, with the official teaching week commencing on Sunday September 17. The Principal, Academic and non-academic staff have encouraged applicants to finalise their enrolment, as the registration deadline approaches, and spaces for our September intake are limited.
